Install or update firmware on your LUMINA Education node (ESP32 + TSL2591). Use a laptop, a USB data cable, and this page’s official HTTPS address.
Before you start
Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on Windows, macOS, or Chromebook (not a phone or tablet).
- Close any serial monitor or terminal connected to the board — only one app can use the USB port.
- If a previous attempt failed, use Connection stuck? Reset below, then try again.
Update or factory reset
- Update (recommended) — Connect USB and install. Leave Erase device unticked. Keeps Wi‑Fi, location, time, and saved sky history on the node.
- Factory reset — Tick Erase device in the installer. Wipes the whole chip, then installs fresh firmware.
Your browser cannot install on ESP32 devices. Please use Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop.
This installer only works on a secure HTTPS link. Ask your teacher for the correct URL — saving this page or using an insecure address will not work.
Steps
- Plug in the ESP32 with a USB data cable.
- Click Connect & Install Firmware and select your board’s serial port.
- Wait until the installer shows success.
- Join the node’s
LUMINA-EDU-xxxxsetup Wi‑Fi (open) or your home network; open the dashboard athttp://192.168.4.1on setup Wi‑Fi, or the IP shown in the serial monitor (115200 baud).
